More of the filament progression

Alan C. had a nice image of the filament from 8-4.

Taken just before 12UT with a Lunt LS-50/B1200 DMK41 and Fraunhofer F11/102mm refractor. I had wanted to film its development but had a computer crash and had to sort that before doing any more filming. More to add later but this came out quite well…

Giovanni Gabrieli also had some great images on his site:

Andy Devey captured some great video of the progression as well.

Hi Guys

I was watching for this one but missed the front end of the event as I was distracted with the Olympics events on TV.

Here is a substantive part of the event from 12:18 to 13:18UT in grade 2 seeing conditions and was at 0.8m focal length with PST due to scale of this event. Here I have animated every 3 minute frames.

Hope you find it useful

Regards

Andy
